Dr. Omid Reza Ranjbar
PostDoc. Researcher
Introduction
I am interested in Optical Fiber Sensors (OFS). Therefore, I have focused on OFSs since 2011 and have accomplished several tasks in this field at the optical fiber sensor laboratory under the supervision of Professor Hamid Latifi at Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. In my doctoral thesis, I tried to understand plants’ force and molecular interactions for their communications. To this end, I have followed studies on force measurement and single-molecule detection using optical fiber sensors, optomechanical fiber optic sensors, and microfluidic chips. During this period, we developed a sensor for measuring milli-Newton axial force and temperature using a hybrid micro silica sphere Fabry–Perot sensor and other VOC measurement sensors. Meanwhile, learning how to validate the new business ideas and write business models to increase our products’ technology readiness levels (TRLs), such as our tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy technique and automated laser scanning system for spectroscopy multipass cell and VOC optical fiber spectrometer.
Since May 2022, I have been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Quantum Engineering and Photonics Technology group of Professor Alireza Bahrampour at Sharif University of Technology. I am working on quantum Electro Optomechanics.
